Faces of Cuba

Cuba without Street musician is not Cuba.
Many of these musicians have already traveled a long way but after Corona and the political
situation it is difficult to get jobs. Many have nothing but their instrument with which they put a smile on the faces of people passing by. Here you can see BumBum with his band on the Malecón.

When you hear musicians, give them a smile and a small tip.

Cuban schoolchildren

It is almost inevitable to overhear the heated discussions of Cubans playing dominoes in the streets of Havana. This game is widely played throughout the country, in small villages and at any time of the day, on the street or at home. Thanks to numerous local rule variations, the game is much more complex than the classic version, making it a challenge even for Cubans to keep track of. If you get the chance to watch or even play a Cuban domino game during a trip to Cuba, you should take it! It is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience that perfectly reflects the diverse nature of Cubans.

“People don’t stop playing because they grow old, they grow old because they stop playing!” (Oliver Wendell Holmes (1809 - 1894)
